I spent Saturday night in the emergency room. My blood pressure was 224/112. Got there at 7 pm and didn't get out till 1 a.m.! They worked on me till they got my pressure down to 157/95. Then they sent me home with a warning to see my cardiologist asap. I have an appointment this Wednesday. Don't know what's going on, but it is pretty scarey!

I went to the cardiologist yesterday. He said my heart sounded good, so there wasn't a problem there. He thinks maybe I ate something with too much salt. Well, I will confess, I did have some Fritos. He asked me when I usually take my blood pressure meds (I take about3). I told him I take them in the morning. He gave me a new schedule to take them, spaced out through the day. By taking them all in the morning, they were wearing off by the end of the day. We're going to see how this works. I have to keep a record of my pressure for a month and then we will see how things are.
