Thee days of overtime

I got scheduled three days of O.T. Monday through Wednedsday, so if I'm not around much, you know why. 12 hour days don't leave any time.

The work hours in my former life was a 4-40 (10hr shift) work shift. I loved those hours and the three days off. Only during city emergencies would the department mobilize and go to a 12 hour shift. For example we worked the 12 hour shifts during the Rodney King riots because the rioting quickly spread southeast down into our city.

Those 12 hour shifts kicked my butt. I don't know how you can work OT in addition to those 12 hours....
