7 days straight

Well it's back to the day shift once again. Starting tomorrow I do my four days Monday through Thursday after which I should get seven days off. The schedule comes out Thursday evening and it shows me with three overtimes, Friday, Saturday and Sunday to cover a guy who is on vacation. I don't mind working three overtimes, even though you barely see the results of the third day. The payroll calculator that they use adjust income taxes according to each check and most of day three gets taken away.

If the schedule comes out this coming Thursday and I have even more OT I will barely see any of it. But the guy I traded with last week so he could make the New Orleans Saints game said he will work them if I don't want them. I'll do three but don't want any more. With daylight savings time it's dark when I leave and dark when I get home and that just sucks.

So evidently your body parts are holding up OK?

Yes Esther, my knee was hurting by 9:00AM, then 8:00 AM and I had a limp by noon. The surgery did the trick. I still get a zing when I strain it at times but nothing like it was.

or eat enough of those jalapeños that you forget all about the knee pain

Well, I'm off to work. Won't be around much for the next week, just a few minutes in the morning. You kids behave yourself and have fun.

Yay!! I managed to give away Friday's overtime. At least I get one day off of my normal seven. This means that I can torment you all more Friday.

Well I was supposed to have seven days off starting Thursday but got Friday, Saturday and Sunday as overtime. The rest of the schedule came out Thursday and I had given up Friday's OT to a friend. It's a good thing, I now have to work Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and then go back on nights Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

So much for my seven days off, at least I got two of them.

Just keep that retirement in your sights! That should be enough to keep you going!
