OHH EMM GEE!!!!!

It's only been cooking since about 22:30, and is already tender and ready to be pulled apart.

As hard as it was to do, I DID NOT try to eat a piece of the roast (until it was cool enough I wouldn't burn my mouth) !! ex[fallen]

Did the Coke make the au jus sweet, Bartender? I have seen Coke used in BBQ recipes. Since it is cooking so long I would think you could skip the beer all together if you didn't want to use it and just add the au jus packet and water and still end up with tender results.

Sounds delicious. I can't wait to hear how much you enjoyed your dinner.

Uuugggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOD!! SOOOO FULLLL!

We spread just a thin bit of horseradish on one slice of the toated french bread, covered it with swiss cheese, added the meat, then topped it wit the other slice of buttered toast, dipped in aus jus.

YUM-O!

To us, the Coke did not make the meat sweet or sugary. I did add a bit of salt and some Tex Joy seasoning to the crock as it was cooking, but that's it.

Poke me with a fork...I'm done. I may or may not be back tonight. lONNNNNNG day today. Don't even feel like FB'ing!
