I don't usually make a big deal about MY birthdays, etc., but I'm proud to talk about my anniversary, because I finally got it right!!      

Congratulations,! I hope to have as many wonderful years as you and your DH have already. We sure know how to pick 'em, huh Girlfriend?!

Thanks everyone! As I write this, my dear, sweet darlin' is on the couch, sawing away at logs! We had an uneventful evening. We "agreed" we weren't going to do anything: cards/gifts (by that, I mean Hubby said it, so that was supposed to make it so). Well, my Girl Child was off work today, so she and I went shopping, and I actually had a chance to get him a card. It's under his pillow, which he hasn't picked up yet, 'cause he fell asleep. When he wakes up to get ready for bed, he'll find it.

A funny story about last year's anniversary card exchange:

Last year, I had actually gotten Hubby's card a few weeks ahead of time and had it put away. This was before my back crapped out.

On Feb 13, I had gotten a call about my Aunt Estelle in Lafayette, LA, and was told she was dying, and I needed to come--NOW. After I got home from work on the 14th, and was done packing to leave the next morning, Hubby & I decided to go ahead and exchange cards before we went to bed.

We began to open our cards, and when mine wasn't even completely out of the envelope, I started to crack up laughing. Hubby was slow, so he had no clue why I was laughing. I told him to just hurry up and open his dang card... He did, and it took him a bit...to realize we had gotten each other the SAME EXACT CARD, from totally different stores, at different times!!!

Now how ironic is that?? We are totally on the same wavelength for so manay things!

Sorry I'm late on this, I worked nights all week and was exhausted. Happy anniversary.
