Coming down to the wire.

The second round of the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award is coming up the 14th. A lot of people will be let down but 250 out of 1,000 will be happy. I made the first cut but don't expect to make the next. You can bet your boots that if I somehow slip by, I'll tell you.

Some of you here have followed my book "Vengeance a Pirate's Tale" all the way to the end. I'm now 59,059 words through the sequel and yes, I have poured my heart and soul into it. A lot of people are talking on the Amazon forum about this. I keep telling them that it won't be the end of the world if we get cut, but some are taking it way too seriously. By the way, pray for me. I dropped my wife off at the airport to visit her parents for a week. That left me with four dogs, five cats, four kittens, two Bearded Dragons, and two goats one of which is extremely pregnant and is probably giving birth right now, I don't want to look.

Tomorrow, I will clean five pounds of cat shit out of three litter boxes and feed all of these critters before I go in for a night shift, feed the lizards, dogs and cats.
