Prayer worked

I have been asking my wife to go to church with me and getting "no" for weeks now. Our pastor has been covering praying for those who are lost for the past few weeks now and gave examples of people who prayed for years for a particular person.

First, you ask that God sanctify them, set them apart from the others and focus on them.

Then you ask that he bless them.

Then you ask that he convicts their heart to come to him. To do whatever it takes to call them in.

I told my wife two nights ago that I had been praying for her 5 -6 times a day and that it was "Bring your wife to church" week. She said, "You are a damn liar, but I'll tell you what. If you come in and play Wii with me, I'll go to church with you this Sunday."

Praise God, she is coming to church with me.

I think she will enjoy it, she does like meeting new people. We had a big, red chicken flap up into the seats last week. At first, the pastor said "See? she's saying Amen." Whenever she clucked. She then began to cluck very loud and he said, "It's getting a little hard to talk over that." I'm glad that we don't have a building yet and still meet in the auction barn, Vicki will like that. As he says, Christ was born in a place like this.
