Tonight at 12:01 EST the amazon Breakthrough Novel Award begins. My documents are all as ready as they ever are going to be. I really have no aspirations of winning, I just hope that one of the judges looks at my story and says "Hmmmm"

Woooo Hoooo!!!! Kiss me Momma!! I was asked to send the first three chapters to one agent and sent a query to another. She emailed me asking me to tell her a little bit about myself and I just got this back!!!

I would like to take a look at this. Please send it as an attachment marking the subject field "Requested materials."

I have been an EMT for six years now and a Lt. for three. I live in a small town so ours is an all volunteer agency combined with the fire department. They made me put on full turn out gear for a drill the other night. I honestly don't know how you guys wear all of that stuff. I just did my recert, what a pain!

There are no coincidences, I cannot believe that this is happening. God is good, what are the chances an agent would be an EMT and volunteer firefighter. Is God opening a door or what?

Oh I hope it goes well. I think the subject of your books are quite unusual so maybe that is what is catching their attention. Fingers crossed too.

Well I finally got it uploaded, only took 4 hours. I finally converted it to an rtf file and it zoomed. I also heard form the agent just now, she needed it converted to a doc file so it went to her just minutes ago. At least she is reading it.

I'll never forget the help and encouragement that I got. "The Tribe" is half done now, a lot is happening but I go back to work Thursday night so it'll get held up. Anybody want a sneak preview?
