a strange habit. Every time we sit on the toilet, she jumps on the counter and acts interested in the sink. So we began turning on the water, just a tiny trickle. I couldn't get a shot of her actually drinking because every time she hears the click, she looks up and all I get is her face. But here she is licking her lips.

Mittens is always making sure I take care of my spools of thread in the sewing room. I read somewhere that they like to chew on thread and it can get tangled in their gut so if I don't put them right away, she's up there batting them around.

Years ago now we had a Manx for eighteen years until one day she just went away. We believe she wanted to die alone. We never found her, and to this day we really miss that old cat. My thought was, what is it about cats drinking from the kitchen or bathroom sink? We always put down a fresh bowl of water the R.C., (short for 'recreational cat'), but she insisted she had to drink out of one of the those sinks. For years we just got to a point where we always left the bathroom sink tap water dripping. If for any reason we forgot to leave the water dripping, R.C. would ever sit there on the edge of the sink camped out waiting for someone to come along and turn on the water.

Happy ponding, ex[kitten]

So pretty kitty. We had an all black one for a long time but Cocoa developed a very bad habit, began spraying around the house. She was a neutered female. We took her to the vet and had her checked out. He sold us some pheromone spray to treat where she had sprayed and she sprayed somewhere else. I had her put down. Didn't want to but I won't have an animal ruining my house.

My cat situation was maybe 8 years ago. She was the only animal we had. Pete had been remodeling the house, one room at a time, tearing off the drywall, putting in new insulation and wall plugs, and then wallpapering or painting and new carpet. When Cocoa started spraying, he was working on the last room, our bedroom. She sprayed on the entertainment center one night while I was watching TV, sprayed on the new oak closet door in our bedroom, sprayed on the oak hutch/china cabinet in the dining room, and it goes on and on. She did it one last time in the laundry room and I saw her do it and took her to the vet's right away. He said that seeing she had been spraying at my son's house first, that's how I got her. And now 3 years later with no problem, she started again. Vet said she'd probably not stop. I bawled and bawled but ----------
