When I moved my computer, I used to label the wires with those sticky note pads. the new flat screen TV's have a lot of wires also. Now, I just take a picture of where the wires go. I did the same thing when I removed a part on my dryer so I'd know where to plug which wire where.

Now that's a great idea. I'm always thinking I'll remember where everything goes but, when it comes right down to it, I doubt myself.
