05/15/10 in Wisconsin

I know most people's flowers are a lot further along. So far only some of my Iris are blooming and one of the clematis. I am going to start planting a few annuals tomorrow. I hope we're done with the frozen temps now.

Beautiful. Nothing much here but the flowering trees and late tulips. I have ajuga blossoming and forget me nots. We too "think" we're past the danger of frost.

My chives will be blooming within the week. The iris I have blooming now are still the "reblooming" ones. The regular Tall Bearded aren't quite there yet.

My purple "puff balls" (cause their name escapes me) are starting to open up. By tomorrow they should be fully open.

Only two of my Clematis are actually blooming right now. One just started today but the one flower that did wasn't even quite fully open yet. Several of them should be blooming later this week too though. Peonies might be blooming by the end of the week too...So we're getting there.

JW I'm trying to find the name of that ground cover plant. It escapes me too and I can't find the tag at the moment so I've been trying to find one online...but nothing I've found so far is quite "it".

I found it I think. Veronica umbrosa also called speedwell.

I've had a crumby few days with upsettings going on around me and it brings joy to view those beautiful flowers.
