Last spring I brought in hundreds of tree frog tad poles, and also three Cascadia Frogs. I had tree frogs everywhere and the three cascadia's stayed close to the pond. There is no sign of any of them this year, not even a peep. Two weeks ago Donna & I went to Hoshi Koi in Puyallup, WA, and bought baught fifteen bull frog tad poles that where shipped from South Carolina. I put them in my pond, and at this point they all seem to be all there. They hide quite well in and around the water lilies and other plants in my pond. Everyday I have to check my skimmer, and I will find one to three tad poles each day. I never have that problem with the Shubunkin's and Mosquito fish.

I'm hoping that maybe enough of these raskels (frogs) will make my pond their home for years to come.

Happy ponding, ex[frog] ex[frog] ex[frog] ex[frog] ex[frog] ex[frog] ex[frog] ex[frog]

that sound interesting. Be sure to let us know when they finally grow into whatever they are going to be.

I don't know any more. It grows on a tuberous type thingy that sends up a new growth at each joint and grows sideways with the plant going up and the roots growing from the underside of the tuber. Those are the tall thin ones. The other leaves that stick out of the water----I don't know what they are either. They are volunteers. They started in the bog, maybe came in on something else. I don't know.
